Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in travel industry;
  • Solid experience in negotiating agreements and conditions with suppliers;
  • Solid experience and commercial knowledge of the travel & hospitality industries, key competitors, industry issues and related technology;
  • Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships with individuals and partners using an open and consultative approach;
  • Experienced with proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English (spoken & written);
  • Numerical & analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly in yielding, contracting, distribution and sales reports;
  • Strong negotiation skills written, spoken and face to face;

About the role

The role of the Non-Accommodation Product Specialist at Asian Trails Thailand oversees the maintenance of a specific product portfolio. This includes cost calculation, price negotiations and controlling net costs with local suppliers in Thailand. The Product Specialist is responsible for keeping his/her own product portfolio up to date and carrying out constant research on tourism industry services. The successful candidate will work independently to conduct benchmarking, create new products and present them to the Non-Accommodation Manager and Sales Department.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and own a specific product list (activities, transfers and/or tour packages) and carrying out the contracting process with related local suppliers;
  • Implement, actualise, code and maintain Asian Trails’ tariffs;
  • Take care of standard tariffs cost control and actualisation, including product templates;
  • Conduct regular market and competitor research (benchmarking) for the development of new products;
  • Be responsible for product creation/development in coordination with the Sourcing Team;
  • Assist the Non-Accommodation Product Manager in contracting and negotiating with new or existing suppliers;
  • Regularly report updates and progress to the Non-Accommodation Manager;
  • Ensure the correct implementation of Asian Trails’ sustainability guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position in the travel industry;
  • Good knowledge of Thailand’s travel products;
  • Thai language is essential with proficient level of English, both oral and written;
  • Good written and verbal communication, presentation, cooperation and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word;
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Experience in negotiating agreements and conditions with local suppliers;
  • Able to handle multiple projects and effectively manage different timelines;

About the role

The Contracting Executive at Asian Trails Malaysia plays a key role in negotiating and contracting rates with hotels, including special offers, allocations, release periods, overrides and terms and conditions. The Contracting Executive ensures the best rates and availability are negotiated for new properties as well as existing, re-contracting hotels. This role is based in Kota Kinabalu. The successful candidate will join a leading team of travel professionals across East and South East Asia.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate contract rates, special offers, allocation, release periods, overrides, terms conditions for hotels, ensuring the best rates and availability for both new and existing properties (online and offline);
  • Assist in requesting hotel contracts for Sabah, Sarawak and soon Brunei;
  • Assist with hotel contract negotiation and preparation;
  • Assist in preparing the General Tariff for Sabah, Sarawak and soon Brunei, and revise as needed;
  • Travel for business trips and meetings with hotels on a weekly basis;
  • Follow up with hotels on signed contracts, including negotiating promotions and ensuring insertion, creation and maintenance of hotel components in Masterfile;
  • Be able to work independently under the supervision of the Director;
  • Prepare regular reports for management and as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism;
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a travel or tourism company; experience in a similar position is a prerequisite;
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written, is essential;
  • Knowledge of Malaysia and its destinations is a must;
  • Able to delegate, cooperate and coordinate with all concerned persons and institutions within the travel industry;
  • Knowledge of the functions, operations and missions of the department;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and excellent computing skills;
  • The ideal candidate must be detailed-orientated, service-minded, have some experience in negotiations and have a drive to exceed expectations;
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season;

  • Ensure the correct implementation of our corporate sustainability guidelines;
  • This role reports directly to the Product Development Manager in Thailand.
Qualifications
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar position in the travel industry;
  • Good knowledge of Southern Thailand travel products;
  • Proficient in Thai and English languages, both oral and written;
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, cooperation and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Experience in negotiating agreements and conditions with local suppliers;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and effectively manage different timelines;
  • A current driver’s license.
