About the role

The Inbound Representative will help to liaise with our international guests, including Spanish, German and other language-speaking clients in the South Thailand area. The successful candidate will be required to visit the clients at their hotels or in the destination to share all important information and ensure the clients have a comfortable stay. This role is based in our South Thailand branch.

Responsibilities
  • Visit clients, groups and VIP guests at their hotels in Phuket;
  • Handle any urgent situations as they arise, such as last minute bookings, arranging transfers, confirming flight and hotel details etc.;
  • Coordinate and confirm all information between Inbound Booking Staff and the Operations Team, such as itineraries, amendments, pick up times, transfers etc.;
  • Assist with resolving complaints together with branch offices in Thailand;
  • Translate documents, support the work of colleagues in our Regional Office and perform office duties as requested by the Manager;
  • Promote Asian Trails’ products, excursions/tours and optional sales in destination;
  • This role reports directly to South Branch Manager.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or above in Tourism Management or related disciplines;
  • Good geographical knowledge of key tourist destinations within South-East Asia;
  • Must be service-minded and driven;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Spanish and German – other languages are an advantage;
  • Good customer service background;
  • Confident, friendly, outgoing and approachable;
  • Good problem solver with the ability to use initiative;
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Highly proficient in PC skills such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

About the role

This challenging role within our expanding MICE team in Bangkok involves working towards achieving outstanding customer service. This includes managing client information, quotations, operations and administrative matters for MICE-related RFP’s. Responsibilities
  • Assist and support the MICE Manager and other colleagues in preparing quotations, itineraries and reservations including creating programmes, suggesting new ideas and offering prices to clients;
  • Negotiate MICE services in line with the requirements of the customer;
  • Foster good relationship with hotels/suppliers;
  • Perform appropriate follow-up, including upselling additional services;

  • Research and develop new products, venues and MICE-related services;

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in the hospitality and tourism industry;
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a travel & tourism company is an advantage, however freshly graduated candidates with appropriate MICE mentality will also be considered;
  • Communication skills and excellent command in Thai and English language is essential (writing, reading, speaking and understanding);
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and excellent computing skills;
  • Knowledge of Thailand and its destinations is a must, particularly from a MICE perspective;
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak moments;

  • Send reservation requests to hotels and land service providers in Thailand;
  • Follow up on programmes that have been sent;
  • Ensure all relevant data is uploaded to Asian Trails’ administration system;
  • Promote the use of Asian Trails’ B2B system;
  • Coordinate with the operations department within our offices for booking land services;
  • Follow up on payments with customers;
  • General administration tasks;
  • Work closely with colleagues from other departments and offices within the Asian Trails Group;
  • Be responsible for reservations and contracting activities with suppliers and hoteliers;
  • Attend out of office meetings with customers to handle events, special requests and other tasks as outlined by the Business Development Manager Indian Subcontinent (when required).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a travel & tourism company;
  • Good command of English (both verbal and written) is essential; ability to speak and understand Hindi language is definitely seen as an advantage;
  • Experience with FIT and GIT/series bookings is a prerequisite;
  • Experience with Destination Management software is an advantage;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (World, Excel, Outlook) applications and computing skills;
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season;
  • A “Can Do” attitude, positive thinking and creative thinking is an asset;
  • This position is open for Thai nationals only.
